Toller Boardman – #37

A 6’3 left hander from Bellaire High School (Houston, TX), Boardman lettered all four years and was selected as District MVP in both his sophomore and junior years. As a senior he was named to the All-District team, and picked up All-American honors for the third straight year. Boasting an impressive four year overall ERA of 1.10, Boardman finished his high school career with a 37-6 record and the most wins in school history, as well as helping the Cardinals reach the State Championship game as a freshman.

Described as a crafty left-hander, Toller Boardman has good command of a fastball that can touch 91 mph and he continued to improve his strength during the summer of 2010 and his senior year.

Listening to the crowd sing The Eyes of Texas makes me tear up for sure. I am so proud of this team. They didn’t make it easy at some points, but I have loved this group all year.  I can’t wait to see what they do in Omaha.

There’s one more game at the Disch tonight, and the winner goes to Omaha.

Texas Fight, Texas Fight,
And we’ll put over one more win.
Texas Fight, Texas Fight,
For it’s Texas that we love best.
Give ‘em Hell, Give ‘em Hell, Go Horns Go,
And it’s good-bye to all the rest!

So the season once again comes down to today. I don’t want it to end. Today or tomorrow or before Omaha.

This team has come back from having its back against the wall before and I know they can do it again.
